Thanks to hundreds of generous donors, staff, volunteers, and an enthusiastic crowd, the Wheelwright Museum is happy to report that the 34th Annual Benefit Auction was a great success!

The proceeds from our largest annual fundraiser support the museum’s operation expenses and enable the Wheelwright to remain open daily and free to the public.

We are actively planning our 35th Annual Benefit Auction for 2010. We are presently seeking donations of contemporary and historic Native American art, such as jewelry, pottery, textiles, baskets, and folk art. Cash donations are also appreciated.

All generous contributions are fully tax deductable. If you have items that you would like to donate, please contact Lea at 505.982.4636, ext. 103 or at asstdir@wheelwright.org.

The Case Trading Post will be hosting a sales exhibition titled Old Friends, New Faces August 19-22. This must-see event will feature artists, roundtable discussions, conversations with collectors, and artist demonstrations. To learn more, click here.

Back by popular demand, the Wheelwright will be featuring Art-for-Wear on Friday, August 20. For a look at the designers and the Native couture featured in this last year's event, click here.

Offsite parking and a free shuttle from St. John's United Methodist Church at Old Pecos and Cordova will be available during the auction. A catered lunch will be available on Friday.
