Become a Member of the Museum
Your membership in the Wheelwright is an investment in knowledge:

• Membership fees support the oldest independent, non-profit museum in New Mexico. The Wheelwright’s unique exhibition and publication program offers constantly changing and challenging subjects. The museum originates all of its exhibitions and publishes major contributions on contemporary and traditional Native American arts.
• As a member you will have the opportunity to join the museum’s energetic support groups: FRIENDS of the Wheelwright Museum and the Wheelwright Museum Collectors’ Circle. FRIENDS provide educational programming and volunteer support, while members of the Collectors’ Circle meet artists and collectors and provide direct support for acquisitions.
• The Wheelwright Museum is the only museum in Santa Fe that does not charge an admission fee and is open daily year-round.  Help us continue this proud tradition by becoming a member today.

Membership Benefits
Yearly membership at different levels entitles you to the following privileges:

• Individual $40: Invitation to exhibition previews and other museum programs; 10% discount in the Case Trading Post; additional membership communications.
• Family $60: All the benefits of Individual membership extended to a couple or family at a single address.
• Behind-the-Scenes $150: All the benefits of a Family membership plus invitations to special events at the museum.
• Business Partner $250: All the benefits of a Behind-the-Scenes membership for the business owner. Business members are listed in the foyer of the museum. Additionally, you will receive five single-use cards for purchases in the Case Trading Post for a 10% discount. These cards may be used by your employees.
• Supporter $250: All the benefits of a Behind-the-Scenes membership, plus your choice of either a one-year subscription to American Indian Art Magazine or a current exhibition catalog (benefit subject to change for exhibitions not accompanied by a catalog).
• Benefactor $500: All the benefits of a Supporter membership, plus a FRIENDS family membership and invitations to the Collectors’ Circle early preview of museum exhibition openings.
• Corporate Member $1000: All the benefits of a Business Partner. Plus you will receive ten single-use cards for purchases in the Case Trading Post for a 10% discount. These cards may be used by your employees. Corporate members also will receive an exhibition catalog or other important publication.
• Director's Circle $1000: All the benefits of a Benefactor membership, plus two Collectors’ Circle memberships.

Additional Opportunities to Support the Museum

Collectors' Circle $500 couple; $250 individual: 100% of membership dues are used to acquire objects for the museum’s collection. As a member you will visit artists’ studios, collectors’ homes, and art galleries, while learning different philosophies of artistic creation and collection.

The FRIENDS is a volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the museum. We are actively seeking volunteers to work in the Case Trading Post, to serve as docents and gallery hosts, and to assist with ongoing special events. Learn more >
