| FELLOWSHIPS
The Wheelwright Museum is pleased to offer fellowships that are designed to help promising artists at an early stage of their career. The awards can range from $300 to $2,500.
The fellowships being offered for 2011 are:
• The Malcolm and Connie Goodman Fellowship
• The Wolfus Family Fellowship
• The Bill and Bonnie Lupien Fellowship
• The Phyllis and Stanford Lehmberg Fellowship for Native American Women
• The Easter Fellowship

We hope that you will consider applying for these fellowship opportunities.
As you can see from the list of previous recipients, these fellowships have opened doors for many emerging artists.

Fellowship Guidelines
The candidate must be a registered member of a Native American tribe. The candidate must be at an early stage of his/her career and show potential for further development. The candidate must complete a written application and a proposal for how the funds would be spent.
The awards may be used for the following:
· Purchase of tools and/or new equipment, including a camera or computer
· Purchase of supplies and/or materials
· Build or improve a working studio
· Enroll in classes to learn new techniques
· Research study related to the artist’s work
· Travel expense to further education or conduct research
· Professional photography of the artist’s work
· Other expenses mutually agreed on by the artist and the fellowship committee
