Polychrome Jar
Isleta Pueblo
Potter Unknown
Circa 1920s
6 5/8" x 8 3/4"

$3500 NET (no discount)

This jar comes from a private collection in Trenton, New Jersey. It was given to the current owner by her father. The father had purchased the jar from his brother, who in turn, bought it from a local doctor  who worked in the Southwest early in his career, possibly as an army physician.

The owner writes that the doctor "died many years ago." My uncle passed in 1978 and Dad left this to me in 1990.  I am selling this because I am approaching 60 and it needs to be in safe hands."  She hopes that the new owner will "get as much joy out of owning this wonderful artifact as my Dad did."

Has some surface cracks.  Please call for details.

Shipping $60.
