$500.00

"Waiting for Horses"
Mixed Media
Stan Natchez
Shoshone / Paiute
12" x 9"
4961602
$500
Each of his paintings, according to Stan, is a self-portrait, not just of him personally, but of his culture and people. Each painting helps him build and teach cultural self-esteem.
In this image, Stan shows a young maiden waiting for her suitor. He will be bringing horses to pay  her bridal price. Note her little dog, waiting by her side.
The small white beads on her sleeves replace the shells that would have decorated her dress in old times. Her umbrella, purse ,and leggings have a flag design.

Shipping $30.
